The injury bug just kicked the Rockets in the keister once again.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Houston Rockets center Clint Capela will miss be out four to six weeks.
Capela suffered the injury in the third quarter of the team’s game against the Orlando Magic on Saturday. He did not miss any game time , however an MRI reveled there was ligament damage.
The Rockets’ center had this to say about the injury postgame:
As I was going up for the lob, I got hit in the hand. We’re going to see what it is when we go back home. It’s just sore right now. We can’t really see anything [on the X-ray] yet. We’ll see what happens.
Nene will slide into the starting lineup at the 5 and players like Marquese Chriss and Gary Clark will likely see more minutes as these players will be call on to try to somewhat replicate some of the production Capela brings.
Capela is averaging 17.6 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game this season.
